Mr. Moataz Al-Alfi

Moataz Al-Alfi: Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Egypt Kuwait Holding “EKH”, one of the largest private equity and venture capital companies in Egypt focusing on strategic sectors such as utilities, infrastructure, fertilizers, and petrochemical industries. He was the Founding President of Americana Group-Egypt, the largest food conglomerate in ME operating in 14 countries with 65,000 employees. He was also the Chairman of the Egyptian Kuwaiti Cooperation Council; it has been established since 2015 to activate the relations between the two countries in many vital areas through a systematic framework that achieves specific objective goals for the betterment of the Egypt and Kuwait's relationship.

Al-Alfi has been active on the public, social and philanthropic fronts for more than 25 years. He founded and assumes leadership roles in several non-profit NGOs in education, health care, and community development. He serves as a member of the BOT of The American University in Cairo (AUC). He established Al Alfi Foundation for Human and Social Development to help through education and training discover future leaders among Egyptian youth. He has effectively contributed in qualifying 110,000 fresh graduates and helped them get employed, in addition to 1500 professional executives in leading positions at both public and private sectors, through his role as the Vice Chairman of the Professional Development Foundation, one of the largest social foundations in the Arab world. He also founded the Egyptian Franchise Development Association (EFDA), which has taken upon itself to educate and prepare inexperienced entrepreneurs to acquire franchises of local and global brands. He is the Chairman of BOT of Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation (MYF), a non-profit organization that provides free world-class medical services to the underprivileged in Egypt and throughout the region in the scope of cardiovascular diseases.
