Sherif Yahia Stars of Science Finalist and inventor gives a lecture at Zewail City of Science and Technology

Sherif Yahia, one the finalist in Stars of Science competitions 2013, gave a lecture at Zewail City of Science and Technology on  17 November 2013.

Yahia shared his life journey and success story with the audience. He also presented his new invention “ Sawti” which is Speech Synthesizer for the Language Impaired. It is an embedded device that helps people with speech impairments to communicate with others easily. 

Dr. Ashraf Badawy, Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Science and Technology presented Yahia with Zewail City’s shield in recognition of his achievements.

Yahia graduated from Department of Electronics and Communications, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University in 2008. He holds an Embedded System design diploma from the Information technology Institute (ITI) in Egypt.

He won a Medal from the Military forces for his effective participation in 25th of January Revolution. He has been awarded with the best Idea award in 2007 at ROBOCON Competition in Egypt and was voted top 10 in the ICT for Change competition.
