The applied mathematics program is looking for a mathematician with a solid background in the following fields: advanced calculus, statistics, optimization to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses for engineering and science students, including Undergraduate courses:

  • Calculus
  • Linear Algebra
  • Ordinary Differential Equations
  • Partial Differential Equations
  • Numerical Analysis
  • Discrete Mathematics
  • Probability and Statistics

Post-graduate courses:

  • Advanced Computational Methods
  • Linear and Non-linear Optimization
  • Complex Analysis
  • Regression Analysis

Qualifications and Courses

  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. in applied/pure mathematics or a closely related field.
  • Record of research in at least one of the required fields.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
  • Prior teaching experience at the university level with evidence of teaching effectiveness.
  • Significant record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Postdoctoral research experience.
  • Demonstrated potential for developing and sustaining an externally funded research program involving students leading to publications.
  • Experience in engaging undergraduate and graduate students in research.
