Dr. Nagwa El-Badri speaks at First National Symposium for Centers of Excellence in Cancer Research
El-Badri’s presentation will highlight the CESC objectives, goals and research projects. The center includes a facility for stem cell research and education, and a human umbilical cord blood stem cell bank. “It implements research-based education that contributes to the advancement of the discipline of stem cell research and biomedical science research at large,” said El-Badri. The center will arrange workshops and courses for hands-on training to junior researchers and scientists to develop their skills in the field.
The symposium is the first of its kind to showcase all the centers of excellence awarded this year by the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF), and aims to promote and enhance areas of collaboration.
