Description

The proposed School of Business is planned to start in the academic year 2023/2024 upon obtaining the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt. 

The School of Business plans to offer these undergraduate Business Programs:

    • Actuarial Analysis and Risk Management
    • Finance and Investment Management
    • Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Management
    • Operations, Supply Chain and Technology Management

The School of Business, which will be a part of the University of science and technology (UST) at Zewail City announces four full-time faculty positions, covering the areas:

    • Actuarial Analysis and Risk Management
    • Behavioral and Quantitative Marketing
    • Finance and Investment Management
    • Operations and Technology Management
    • Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management
    • Business Analytics and quantitative analysis

Each of the selected candidates will be the founding faculty for the program in which the candidate is selected. Additional responsibilities include teaching in-class and online courses. The position will collaborate with other faculty, develop courses, and teach across several programs. Extensive Teaching and curriculum development experience is highly preferred.

 

Performance Functions:

    • Develop the curriculum and teach a variety of business-related courses.
    • Actively engage with students and provide constructive feedback on assignments.
    • Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
    • Participate in selecting and managing adjunct professors for assigned courses.
    • Develop and maintain curricula in both online and classroom formats.
    • Participate in program assessment, accreditation and committee/community service.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Program Director and the Dean.

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs and will be actively engaged in consultations with the business and financial institutes in Egypt and the Middle East. 

Qualifications 
    • Applicants must have a DBA/Ph.D. and MA/MBA obtained from a reputable university at the time of application, in a relevant field. Exceptional candidates with MBA and extensive practice experience may be considered.

Desired Qualification

    • Experience in establishing business ventures
    • Experience serving as board members or advisers in large businesses.
    • Experience in raising capital for investment projects.
    • Experience with entire small business and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
    • A commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship and scholastic activities.
    • Applicants must demonstrate an excellent record of teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, student evaluations, significant record of publications in refereed journals, as well as a solid record in research.
