Zewail City professor delivers keynote at BioNanoSpec 2014

Professor Salah Obayya, director of the Center for Photonics and Smart Materials (CPSM), has been invited to give a keynote lecture at the 5th Conference on Advanced Spectroscopies on Biomedical and Nanostructured Systems (BioNanoSpec). The conference will be held in Romania from September 7 to 10, 2014.

Obayya’s lecture, titled Novel Nanophotonic Devices for Biomedical Applications, will discuss the advanced numerical techniques in biophotonics, which have many applications in medicine through detecting, diagnosing and treating diseases in non-invasive ways to the body. Obayya and his team at CPSM have already published several papers in many high impact factor biophotonics journals.

The conference is organized by the Interdisciplinary Research Institute on Bio-Nano-Sciences in collaboration with the faculties of physics, chemistry, biology and geology at Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
