Zewail City Researcher Wins the Second Place in the Egyptian Junior Researcher Competition

Youssef El-Sherif, a Junior Research Assistant from Zewail City’s Center of Excellence for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (CESC) won Second Place in the biotechnology track in the 12th Egyptian Junior Researcher Competition hosted by Nile University. 

The winning research "Novel approach for increasing the Reprogramming of Human iPSCs: Exosome based Transfection" was supervised by Dr. Nagwa El-Badry, the Founding Chair of the Biomedical Sciences Program and CESC Director.

The competition was held on the 7th of August 2021, with the participation of more than 35 universities. Only 59 projects out of all submitted projects were shortlisted to enter the competition in the Biotechnology track.
