Undergraduate Tuition Fees 2020/2021:

 

The University of Science and Technology provides a world-class educational environment. Tuition fees is calculated based on the number of registered credit hours in each academic semester. The tuition of each credit hour for academic year 2020 / 2021:

  •  3,000 EGP (Three Thousand Egyptian Pounds) for Egyptian students.  
  •  350 USD (Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars) for non- Egyptian students.

The tuition fees include access to mandatory laboratory supplies for experiments, library, scientific databases,and access to career advising services.

After the final acceptance of joining the University of Science and Technology in Zewail City, the student has to pay a non-refundable deposit (10,000 EGP).

The student can pay the tuition fees through four installments. The tuition may be subject to an annual increase for the new admitted students of future academic years.

  • Science students must complete 130 credit hours during their entire study at the university.
  • Engineering students are required to complete 162 credit hours to graduate.
 

 Methods of Payment:

  •  Cash deposits in any CIB branch
  •  Bank transfer with submitting the original payment receipt to the admission and registration office each semester.

 

Scholarships

 

Eligibility of Scholarships

The University of Science and technology in Zewail City has a limited number of merit scholarships to students who are fully admitted to the university and are among the top students based on the holistic admission criteria adopted by the university.

In addition, the university of science and technology in Zewail City offers a limited number of partial / full scholarships to fully admitted students who fulfill the following conditions:

  • For freshmen students: Obtained the high school certificate no more than one year of admission.  
  • For transfer students: Obtained the high school certificate no more than two years of admission.
  • Demonstrated financial eligibility.

 

Procedures

Fill the scholarship application form and follow its instructions. Any scholarship application with missing information, documents or wrong information will be considered incomplete and will be rejected for the current year; students can apply for scholarship again after the foundation year. Students eligible for scholarships will receive a confidential notification including the decision of the committee.

  • The decision of the scholarship committee is strictly confidential and to be shared only with the student and not with any other person or it will be canceled.
  • Scholarship is given in the form of a fixed reduction from the tuition fees.
  • The decision of the scholarship committee is final, and no petitions are allowed after notifying the student with the scholarship that can be offered by the University.

 

In order to be able to fill scholarship application, you first must apply for admission for the undergraduate studies at the University of Science and Technology in Zewail City

  1.  Apply for undergraduate admission for UST and receive UST Student ID.
  2.  There is a list of items you should submit and need to attach to the form. However, the must have documents  for the form are the following:
  •   Scanned copy of the applicant’s national ID card and the original birth certificate.
  •   Scanned copy of both parents’ and/or guardian’s national ID card along with siblings
  •   Scanned copy of utilities bills (Gas, electricity, and water)
  •   Scanned copy of lease or ownership contract for the place of residence
  1. The financial support office will forward the link of the scholarship application to applicants who fulfilled the early admissions' requirements 

 

Scholarships' Regulations and Policies

The committee considers:

  • The student’s individual/family circumstances.
  • The number of submitted applications for scholarships.
  • The number of scholarships offered.

The scholarship application and supporting documents are reviewed and investigated by the scholarship committee who has the right to decide whether the student is eligible to receive a scholarship or not. Students or their parents may be asked for an interview or to submit additional documents.  

The supporting documents received after the announced deadline will be rejected.

After assessing the financial status of the student, and in view of the available resources, the student will be notified of the percentage support that he/she will receive and the amount of tuition fees that he/she must pay.

The received scholarship is awarded only during the year of study, in case of withdrawal from the university; the scholarship will be cancelled.

In case of deferred admission, scholarship will be no longer valid.

The amount of scholarships granted to each student will be fixed throughout his/her course of study at university as per the academic catalog and given that the student maintains his academic and financial eligibility for scholarships.

  • 4 years for Science Programs
  • 5 years for Engineering Programs

The students who are granted scholarships will be requested to attend a few donors’ events inside and outside the Campus.

 

Sustainability

GPA retention policy and it is applied starting from the second year of enrollment. To maintain the scholarship award without reassessment, undergraduate students must maintain:

  • A cumulative GPA equal to or higher than 3.0
  • To maintain a full-time status (12 credit hours per semester or above).

 

Initial Scholarships Requested Documents

Proof of family Income documents:

  • Proof of net annual income of both parents and/or guardian after deducting taxes & social insurance and including bonuses, incentives, commissions and annual profits.
  • Employment letter for both parents and/or guardian directed to Zewail City specifying the job description (part time/full time).
  • Recent Bank Balance of Accounts and Financial statements of both parents clarifying the interests of any saving accounts, deposits, trust funds, etc. in any bank or post office for the last 6 months’ period.
  • Social insurance stamp (in case the father works as a freelancer/ the mother does not work) · Annual pension for both parents and/or legal guardian (if applicable).
  • Proof of applicant’s annual income (if applicable).
  • Last tax declaration in case of freelancing.
  • Any other income documents, if any (such as rents)

 

Proof of family expenses documents

  • Proof of the applicant’s school annual fees (including bus fees if applicable).
  • Proof of the applicant’s siblings’ school annual fees (including bus fees if applicable).
  • Family Medical case expenses with the detailed medical report
  • Unities bills (electricity, water, others) 

 

Assets documents

  • Proof of agricultural land holding for any member of the family including the applicant (if applicable).
  • Any lease contracts for family properties (real estate – shops – lands – cars – etc.)
  • Recent property disclosure issued from Misr For Central Clearing, Depository & Registry Company in case of owning stock (if applicable).

 

Others documents

  • Family registration form (القيد العائلى)
  • Death certificate of any of the parents or both, if applicable.
  • Divorce certificate of the parents, if applicable.
  • Scanned copy of the applicant’s national ID card and the original birth certificate.
  • Scanned copy of both parents’ and/or guardian’s national ID card.
  • If parents and/or guardian living abroad copy of their residency.
