At the headquarters of the Center for Sustainable Development in the Valley of Science and Technology, welcomed on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, a delegation from Paşabahçe Company; one of the world's leading companies in the glass industries.

This visit comes in light of the deepening cooperation between the University and its scientific and research centers and Paşabahçe Company, especially after the summer training period spent by students of the Environmental Engineering program at the company in the summer of 2021.

During the internship, the students prepared three environmental studies related to industrial wastewater, treatment process, hazardous waste management, and hydrogen generation unit. Furthermore, the company's experts expressed their admiration for the results of the studies presented by the students of Zewail City.

Accordingly, the company expressed its willingness to continue cooperation with the Environmental Engineering Program in the field of summer training and long-term training over a period of 11 months during the year 2022-2023.

During the visit, they discussed ways of cooperation through research and development and raising the capabilities in the field of the glass industry in Egypt as it’s considered one of the most important and promising future industries in Egypt.

Also, the City always seeks to link industry and educational programs at the university in order to push its graduates to advanced industrial fields as well as entrepreneurship and open new and developed industrial fields.
